He has also reminded Land Bank of the Philippines to provide easy and affordable agricultural credit support for farmers and fishermen. The President’s latest directive came amid government plans to proceed with the with the fuel excise tax increase next year. Panelo said while the oil excise tax increase was “a negligible contributor to inflation,” the government was committed to provide financial assistance to the 50% poorest households.
