The proposed reforms seeking to improve airport operations were tackled in the Cabinet assembly after President Duterte made a surprise visit at the NAIA Terminal 2 Monday morning. “On security concerns, President Duterte prefers that airport security be handled by a single entity, either from the military or civilian force,” he added. Duterte apologized to the air passengers affected by the flight interruptions and vowed to craft a remedy to the airport problems within a month.
