President Rodrigo Duterte has imposed an additional 10-percent import duty on crude oil and refined petroleum products to fund the Social Amelioration Program for those affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. As of Monday, the Philippines had 9,485 Covid-19 cases, up by 262 cases from a day earlier. The Department of Health said 101 patients recovered, the highest to be recorded.
