President Rodrigo Duterte’s response to the coronavirus pandemic has earned strong public support, according to a survey conducted by political consultancy firm PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. in the National Capital Region. Two-thirds or 66.6 percent of the respondents to the online survey said they approved of the manner in which the President an d the national government responded to the health crisis. Some 17 percent of respondents neither approved nor disapproved, while 16.4 percent either disapproved or strongly disapproved. The Covid-19 survey was designed by PUBLiCUS and conducted in partnership with Singapore-based Lightspeed Research from April 2 to 6. The survey data was processed and analyzed by VOX Opinion Research, the in-house strategic research arm of PUBLiCUS.
