Duterte ordered the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in cooperation with employers’ and workers’ organization, to spearhead programs and activities nationwide related to the ILO Centenary celebration. Meanwhile, the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) would lead the campaign of fostering ILO awareness in the Philippines and promote activities in connection with the ILO Centenary celebration. For its centenary, as the oldest UN specialized agency, different events are set to take place around the world throughout 2019.
