PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte returned to the country on Sunday night from what Malacanang has described as “fruitful and productive” trips to Singapore for the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Singapore and Papua New Guinea for the Asia-Pacific Economic Leaders’ Summit. The President arrived at about 7 p.m. in Davao, former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go told The Manila Times. Malacanang said the trips were “fruitful and productive” even as the President missed some of the meetings to catch up on sleep. Duterte “power napped” through the Asean-Australia Informal Breakfast Summit, the 20th Asean-Republic of Korea Summit, the Working Lunch hosted by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the Second Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Summit and the Gala Dinner. Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. represented the President.
