Gregorio Honasan as the next head of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). Duterte signed Honasan’s appointment paper on November 20 but the document was released to the media only on Thursday, November 22. Malacañang earlier expressed confidence that Honasan would push for “genuine” reform during his stint at the DICT. On November 8, the President revealed that he had offered Honasan the DICT post, asking him to join in the “quest for better Philippines and a better government.”Honasan accepted the post a day later. Honasan, a leader of an Armed Forces group that broke away from the Marcos regime, was first elected senator in 1995.
