The Dutch sailing couple looking to unearth the history behind their New Zealand-made boat have found the person who built it. They moored the boat in Whangarei and set off on a trip to Nelson, as the records on their boat led them to believe it was made there in 1988 by Dennis Field. Their Bruce Roberts 44 type boat was called 'Espresso' when they bought it, but the couple decided to rename it after their mothers; 'Anna Caroline'. The couple started their sailing journey off with Scotland, Northern Island, Isle of Man, Ireland, Portugal and Spain. Robinson Crusoe Island, Easter Island, Gambier in French Polynesia, Hawaii, Alaska and British Columbia and the South Pacific followed.
