Prachuap Kruawal was arrested by police and agriculture officials while she was directing 10 workers to load the fruit on the truck of a buyer at 5pm on Wednesday. The arrest was made after authorities found that 1.4 tonnes of the total three tonnes that had been harvested were not mature enough for sale. She was charged with violating the consumer protection law by deceiving her buyer that the durians were ripe. Young and prematurely-harvest fruit have more weight but they are not edible.
