RIO DE JANEIRO - Kevin Durant scored 25 points as the US NBA stars routed China 119-62 Saturday to launch its bid for a third consecutive Olympic gold medal. The US NBA stars missed their first five shots but sank their next five and were never really threatened from there. China played the US NBA stars about level in the second quarter until Durant sank three consecutive 3-pointers on three consecutive US posssessions late in the second quarter. Former NBA player Yi Jianlian scored 25 points to lead China. DeMarcus Cousins scored 17 points for the US team while Paul George had 15 and Kyrie Irving had 12.
