June 28, (THEWILL) – Armand Duplantis, the Swedish athlete and current Olympic and world champion in pole vault, achieved a new personal best at the Golden Spike athletics meet in the Czech Republic, on Tuesday. Duplantis surpassed his previous record by one centimetre, clearing a height of 6.12 metres. I’m pretty satisfied. Andre De Grasse, the Canadian Olympic 200m champion, secured third place with a season’s best time of 10.21s. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, the reigning Olympic champion from Puerto Rico, triumphed in the women’s 100m hurdles, clocking a time of 12.42s.
