RAWANG: Police arrested a man and a woman who are suspected of abusing a 12-year-old boy at a day care centre in Bandar Country Homes here. Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ali Ahmad said the suspects were picked up at about 12.15am on Wednesday after the boy's cousin lodged a report at around 3.30pm on Tuesday. "She alleged that her cousin was chained and starved at the centre," he added. ACP Ali said the boy also suffered scratches and bruises on his legs and head and is believed to have been punched as his lips and right eye were swollen. Police are conducting further investigations into the case under Sec 31(1)(a) for ill-treatment, neglect, abandonment or exposure of children.
