Despite lengthy delays and a budget blow-out, Dunedin's bus hub is set to open. Work on the $4.4 million bus hub on Great King St began in July and was meant to be completed by November. That included a decision by the Dunedin City Council (DCC) to replace a pipe, rather than do so in five years' time. Hamish McNeilly/Stuff Dunedin's controversial bus hub is set to open after months of delays. The council was aware of major teething problems with new bus services in Wellington, and did not expect similar issues for Dunedin.
