Photo: ODTA massive cruise ship season for Dunedin is set to start tomorrow and tourism operators believe the city is up to the challenge. Sun Princess is due to arrive in Port Chalmers at 7.15am tomorrow, signalling the start of a cruise ship season expected to bring 87 cruise ships with a total capacity of 250,000 people to the city. This includes December 22 when two ships - one of them the largest cruise ship to visit New Zealand, Ovation of the Seas - are set to arrive, making it the city's busiest day for cruise ship visits. Dunedin iSITE visitor centre manager Louise van de Vlierd said it was pressing ahead with preparation for the season.
