They approached the Southern Bench of National Green Tribunal seeking a ban on dumping garbage at SadupperiFollowing this, the tribunal passed an order on November 21, 2016 that Vellore Corporation should stop dumping waste at Sadupperi. With these measures put in place, dumping of garbage at Sadupperi has been stopped from February 1, he said, adding that a solution has been found for a 100-year-old problem faced by the Sadupperi residents.
