A fire broke out at Pearson International Airport on the night actor Danny DeVito flew into Toronto for Dumbo media interviews recently. Maybe that’s because he plays circus impresario Max Medici in Dumbo, Tim Burton’s live-action remake of the classic Disney animation about a unique little elephant who can fly. And I think Max is also a particular creature. Then Tim calls, he says he’s doing Dumbo, and you know, we’ve done five movies together, Tim and I. This completes our Circus Trilogy: Batman Returns had circus people in it, the Penguin had circus guys and girls.
