The Duke of Cambridge unveiled his plans as it emerged up to a third of children have experienced abusive behaviour MATT DUNHAM/ GETTY IMAGESThe Duke of Cambridge has unveiled a plan to tackle bullying on the internet, working in partnership with Google and Facebook. The Royal Foundation Taskforce on the Prevention of Cyberbullying seeks to reach every person aged 11 to 16 in Britain with a three-point online code of conduct: “Stop, Speak, Support”. The companies that have signed up will work with charities including the NSPCC to spread the message. Anyone who experiences or witnesses cyberbullying will be encouraged to first stop and take “time out” before reacting, checking the site’s community guidelines. Second, they will be asked to speak out by talking to an adult or trusted friend, using the website or app’s reporting function or speaking to a charity such as Childline.
