There is no objective measure by which Duke should be the NCAA tournament favorite. Duke is the new team everyone needs to beat—and everyone wants to beat—in the NCAA tournament. The ACC tournament was their last chance to forge any sort of identity before the NCAA tournament. But the Duke team that came to New York is clearly not the same one that left.
