SPCA has been alerted after reports of a duckling being thrown from a vehicle at passers-by near Queens Garden in Dunedin today. A police spokeswoman confirmed police attended an "animal welfare incident" that happened in the area about 2.50pm, involving a duckling. The matter had been passed onto SPCA, she said. The animal welfare organisation was unable to comment this afternoon.
