Dublin peace conference today

From The Times, August 24, 1920:Those who are organizing the Irish Peace Conference in Dublin tomorrow express themselves well satisfied with the response from all parts of Ireland. Five hundred people are known to be coming, and they are representative of every class in the community. No more interesting moment could have been selected for focussing moderate opinion in Ireland in the direction of a sane and reasonable settlement. The Sinn Fein boycott of Ulster is spreading, and credit is being seriously interfered with. One bank in Belfast had last week only half its normal turnover, and traders are asking themselves how long such a state of things can go on.
