Dubai-based Jabbar and Greece’s VentureFriends win big with InstaShop’s exit


InstaShop, founded in 2015, had raised between $7 to $10 million in total before exiting to Delivery Hero. It had started in 2015 with $365,000 from Dubai-based Jabbar Internet Group and Greek VC VentureFriends. What’s clear though is that Jabbar and VentureFriends have scored a home run with InstaShop. In InstaShop’s case, it is all very obvious as its two main investors Jabbar and VentureFriends have been with the company since the very beginning. Samih Toukan, announcing the acquisition in a tweet, said, “Congratulations to Jabbar’s portfolio company [InstaShop] which we backed since launch in 2015.
