The legislators said that IEBC commissioners will be removed from office by following the legal procedure and not through demonstrations as Cord leaders are doing. Duale said the law should not only be used to benefit able politicians but should be used by every Kenyan for justice to prevail. Tana River women representative who is also a Cord member, Halima Ware said she does not support Cord protests terming the protests as benefiting Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Moses Wetangula politically. Five legislators from Northern Kenya, led by majority leader in the national assembly, Aden Duale have said that demonstrations by Cord will not bear fruits in their move to disband IEBC.
