New Jersey's infamous Far Hills horse racing meet drew tens of thousands of raucous revelers at the weekend for its annual alcohol-fueled festivities. The charity horse race, which marked its 98th year on Saturday, has become notorious for its booze-filled, drunken antics. Droves of people arrived in SUVs and pickup trucks as they descended on the 230-acre Moorland Farm for the steeplechase race. 'The Far Hills Race is one of the oldest traditions that takes place each Fall here in Somerset County, I have attended the race myself over many years and have enjoyed the people and great atmosphere,' Prosecutor Michael Robertson said prior to the event. 'However, after evaluating last year’s event, law enforcement as well as the Far Hills Race Commission has serious concerns about the underage drinking problem that exists at this event.
