Drummond honours board home for Anzac DayMary Witsey Drummond Anzac Service co-ordinator Helen McLeish with the restored honours board, missing in action for more than 80 years and now back with the community, after being discovered at a local tip. A World War I honours board that was found dumped at a local tip has been welcomed home by the Drummond community at a special Anzac service. The names of the 13 soldiers, who all attended Drummond Primary School, glowed brightly in the early morning light as descendants and locals remembered all those who had fallen. It was a special moment for service co-ordinator Helen McLeish who said it was wonderful to have the honours board back where it belonged after more than 80 years. It would be presented to Drummond Primary School, where it had last hung until around 1938, in a special ceremony next month.
