According to the RAB sources, the arrestees were identified as Emon Ali, 24, Md Jakaria, 37, Abdul Kadir, 20, and Mariful Islam, 19. On a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a drive in Mehedipur area under Bagha upazila and arrested Emon Ali with 1,000 yaba pills at around 8:45pm. Another RAB team, being informed, conducted a drive in Shishatala Rail gate area in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila and arrested Jakaria and Abdul red-handed with 1,955 yaba pills around 10:30pm. Apart from this, another team of the elite force arrested Mariful Islam with 40 phensedyl bottles after conducting a drive in Meramatpur area under Charghat upazila in Rajshahi around 9:15pm. Three cases were filed with concerned police stations after the suspected criminals along with the seized contrabands were handed over to police.
