Delwara Begum, 55, was strangled to death as she reportedly refused to give money to her son for his drug addiction, according to her neighbours. They then detained Saiful while he was having a smoke outside the house after the incident. Rupganj police OC Mahmudul Hasan said the body has been sent to Victoria General Hospital in Narayanganj for an autopsy.
