Driving climate action

I READ with dismay news of the global climate situation in the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, published on April 4. After all, in the last two report instalments, the IPCC had warned that “climate change was becoming irreversible” and “catastrophic impacts” were beckoning. Nadiem had in the past said that the incorporation of environmental education that prioritises climate education and sustainability is crucial in transforming his country’s education system. He believes it is the key to tackling climate change, as well as saving future generations. Widespread forest fires, prolonged drought and flooding have shown how climate change impacts humans, animals and plants.
