Police are searching for the driver of a van who drove into the path of a CTrain, and then ran away after his vehicle was destroyed. Around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, police say the driver pulled an illegal u-turn at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Deerfoot Trail S.E., between the Calgary Zoo and Barlow CTrain stations. His van was struck by the CTrain and sustained severe damage, and the driver took off on foot. The southbound to eastbound exit of Memorial Drive is closed, and the westbound left lanes were blocked. Police are searching for the driver.
