(File photograph)A motorist was taken to Nelson Hospital after a car reportedly crashed through a fence at the intersection of Waimea West Rd and the Moutere Highway, near Richmond. St John communications adviser Gerard Campbell said St John was notified of the incident at 6.26pm on Monday, sending one ambulance. He said the crew took one patient to Nelson Hospital with moderate injuries. Later, the crew was back in the air to make a medical transfer from Takaka to Nelson Hospital.
