Staff writer, with CNAA bus driver was lightly injured in an explosion in the luggage compartment of a tour bus in Chiayi County’s Puzih Township (朴子) on Sunday. Police have launched an investigation into the blast that occurred at about 9am, when the bus was parked outside a temple. The passengers, Kaohsiung residents who were on a pilgrimage to Buddhist and Taoist temples in the county, were not on the bus when the explosion happened, police said.
