Upper Hutt residents will have to pop into the library for driving licencing services until a permanent testing centre can be found. Matthew Tso/Stuff Upper Hutt’s Central Library will become home to a temporary driver licence testing centre after the city’s only testing facility was closed at the start of July. Ross Giblin/Stuff VTNZ closed Upper Hutt’s only driver licence testing centre at July. Practical testing has not been available in Upper Hutt for a number of years, however the VTNZ branch previously offered driver licence theory testing, renewals and other administrative services. The temporary testing centre is based at Upper Hutt Library, 844 Fergusson Drive.
