Emergency services were called to the intersection of Mako Mako Rd and Tiro Tiro Rd, after a vehicle crashed into a fence near RJ’s Licorice at 8.50pm on Friday. A police spokeswoman said there were reports of the vehicle driving erratically before running into the fence. A second vehicle smashed into a fence 12 kilometres southwest of Palmerston North at 1.20am on Saturday. The police spokeswoman said the vehicle crashed on Tane Rd, between Humes and Opiki Rds, then drove off.
