Driver docked for allegedly forging employer’s car documents to obtain loan

A driver, Augustine Vincent, who allegedly forged his employer’s car documents and used it as collateral to obtain a loan, was on Thursday brought before a Wuse Zone 6 Chief Magistrates’ Court in Abuja. He said that it was agreed by both parties that the defendant would be remitting N25,000 to the complainant weekly. “But instead of keeping to the agreement, the defendant remitted N20,000 once and subsequently started avoiding the complaint,” he said. The prosecutor said that the defendant also forged the vehicle’s documents and used it as collateral to obtain a loan of N450,000 from Kiakia Loans in Gwarinpa, Abuja. Chief Magistrate Omolola Akindele admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N400,000 with one surety in like sum.
