A 37-year-old driver, Chukwudi Ukaegbu; on Friday appeared at an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, for allegedly beating up a motorcyclist. Ukaegbu, however, denied committing the offence and was admitted to a bail of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum. Adegun, directed that the sureties should be gainfully employed and must also show evidence of two years’ tax payment to the Lagos State Government, (LASG). The prosecutor, ASP Clifford Ogu, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 23 at Ogba, Lagos. The prosecutor said that the offence violated Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
