A 29-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle collision on Hwy. Emergency services were called around 3:50 a.m. on the westbound express lanes of Hwy. 403 at Matheson Blvd., near Eglinton Ave., after a vehicle hit the centre median on the wrong side of the highway. Peel paramedics said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. “Conditions at the time appear to have been fine … (Police) are still trying to understand how or why this driver ended up on the wrong side of the highway.”
