The scene of a serious crash on Lower Styx Rd, Spencerville, early on Sunday morning. A driver is in a critical condition after crashing their car into a power pole in Christchurch. A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to a crash on Lower Styx Rd, Spencerville, about 1.30am on Sunday. The driver was cut from the car and taken to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition, the spokeswoman said.
