LAYYAH: A female student of first year was gang-raped by the driver of her van and his friend. Police said that the driver of a private college van, identified as Ibrahim, along with his accomplice, Nadeem, raped the student, threw her to die at the scene of the crime in Fatehpur city of district Layyah and fled the scene. The girl was hospitalised and is said to be in critical condition. Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought a report from DPO Layyah. He directed the police to take quick action against the two rapists and provide swift justice to the victim.
