Drive for five: Anderson, winner of four straight provincial seniors curling crowns, hopes to land another

Sherry Anderson, who never met a curling rink she didn’t want to conquer, is awash in numbers as she prepares for this week’s Saskatchewan seniors curling championship. The Saskatoon Nutana skip is chasing her fifth straight provincial title, has won three consecutive Canadian crowns, and is the two-time defending world champion. “I think about it,” Anderson says when asked about the possibility of winning a fifth straight provincial title at her home club, where the event begins Wednesday. Her team — a different foursome than the one that competes in seniors — lost 8-5 to Robyn Silvernagle in the title match. And now she’s back at provincial seniors, with lots of familiar faces trying to topple her team.
