Th Ethiopian leadership has proven its commitment to democracy and human rights under the most challenging conditions. Human Rights Watch rang the bell for a 5-alarm fire following the 100 percent parliamentary victory of the TPLF in 2015. Ethiopian sovereignty to investigate and prosecute human rights violators should be equally respected. It is not possible to demand respect for the human rights of a people while disrespecting the sovereign rights of their nations. Anyway, I never set out to change Ethiopia.
