Broadgreen Intermediate pupil Luke Spearson was presented with a brand new bike by this year's winners of the Kelly McGarry Dream-Believe-Be Award, second year apprentices Dan Young of and Hutana Campbell. He was nominated by his teacher Dan Green, who praised the young man’s attitude in meeting the challenges of the condition. Martin de Ruyter/Stuff Kelly McGarry, professional free-ride mountain biker, was the first to ride the new mountain bike track at Nelson Intermediate after it's opening. McIntyre said Young’s perfectionist approach to all aspects of his work put him in good stead for a future career in the industry.
