Photo: FacebookA dramatic last round of CRV NZ Canterbury Country Premier one-day matches has seen two unforeseen upsets. At Southbrook Park, the ninth placed home side was hopeful of an upset win against second placed Sefton. In reply, Sefton never got underway thanks to an outstanding new ball spell by fringe Canterbury Country rep Luan Blom. Lyons compiled 118 off 136 balls and he was well supported by Canterbury Country rep ‘keeper-batsman Will Hamilton with 98 off 101 balls. Leeston-Southbridge who qualified top of the table will play Darfield at Leeston Park while second placed Sefton will host Ohoka at Sefton Domain.
