I don’t understand doctor's report, deputy OCS tells courtA senior police officer yesterday caused laughter in court when he confessed that he did not understand the contents of a postmortem report.Mwatate Deputy OCS John Mapea told Resident Magistrate Emily Nyakundi that the language used in the report by the doctors was difficult for him. “It is true that I was present when the postmortem examination was conducted at the Voi County Referral mortuary by the doctors. Your honour it is difficult for me to explain the postmortem report or interpret it because the language used is ambiguous. The author of the report is better placed to interpret it and not me,” Mr Mapea said. He had been asked by the Directorate of Public Prosecutions Prosecutor Jethron Okumu to explain what he knew about the postmortem.
