The Prime Minister said although the world had made tremendous progress in technology, there was no commensurate progress in forging better understanding between peoples. “The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) should be able to connect people, and a better connection will create better understanding and make the world more prosperous. He said the BRI would not only help to foster development, it could also help to promote a better understanding of people of different races, cultures and values. The Prime Minister is on a five-day trip here to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
