Regarding Dr. Bob Kocher’s “How I Was Wrong About ObamaCare” (op-ed, Aug. 1): The transformation that hospitals are undergoing is essential to providing patients with high-quality, well-coordinated care, and it’s contributing to lower cost growth. Some examples include Memorial Hermann in Houston, Partners HealthCare in Boston, and Mount Sinai Health System in New York, each of which has... Notably, some of the most successful efforts to advance Affordable Care Act goals have been made by hospital systems with a wide geographic reach. Hospitals are doing this by partnering with physicians and other community agents.
