Insolvent airline Air Berlin has canceled dozens of flights on Tuesday due to numerous pilots calling in sick. Air Berlin has not provided further details on the number of cancelled flights. The flight status section of Air Berlin’s website states that the main flights affected are on German domestic routes from Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Frankfurt. On Twitter this morning, Air Berlin apologized for the cancellations due to “operational reasons.”We regret that flights will be cancelled today for operational reasons.
