A dozen inmates made a brazen escape from an Alabama jail on Sunday, sparking a massive manhunt and the recapturing of at least eight of them. Walker County Jail officials said that 12 inmates escaped at around 9:30 p.m. local time. Local law enforcement is assisting the Walker County Sheriff’s Office in the manhunt and urged residents to stay off the streets. "JPD has activated additional personnel to assist the Walker County Sheriff's Office in locating multiple escaped inmates from the Walker County Jail.
