The Downtown Bazaar’s future may rely on a new kind of ownership structure. One of the potential solutions, proposed by the bazaar’s tenants, is to shift to a more cooperative ownership model. The bazaar’s tenants – five restaurants and one boutique – would have the opportunity to take over the lease and share ownership. Downtown Bazaar, at former EXPO space, opens Monday Downtown Bazaar will open to the public Monday, bringing international all-stars from the West Side Bazaar to Buffalo’s Theatre District. The Downtown Bazaar opened in April 2023, followed by the new West Side Bazaar facility six months later.
