The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) is expected to issue sea and land warnings for Taiwan on Tuesday and Wednesday as Tropical Storm is bearing down toward the nation. According to the CWB, as of Sunday afternoon, Talim is around 2,300 km from Taiwan's southernmost tip of Eluanbi and is moving 25 km/h west-northwest toward the Bashi Channel. The storm will to make landfall on southeastern Taiwan if it maintains its current course. The CWB also forecast Talim could strengthen into a typhoon by the time it reaches Taiwan. If the storm veers north, it will brought more rain and wind to Taiwan for a longer period, the CWB said.
