In Kali yuga also He came down as Lord Srinivasa, to fulfil His promise to Vedavati. So, the Lord came down to Tirumala as Srinivasa to marry Vedavati, who had taken the avatara of Padmavati. Devotees who come to Tirumala must first worship Varaha and only later should they worship Srinivasa. That is why even today, a Tirumala yatra is considered incomplete, if it does not begin with worship of Varaha. In Tirumala we have the double joy of worshipping both.
