Johor Darul Ta’zim II’s (JDT II) hopes of winning the Challenge Cup have been boosted by the inclusions of former internationals Fadhli Shas and Ahmad Hazwan Bakri. JDT II, who defeated UKM FC 1-0 in Pasir Gudang in the final first leg, will take on the university boys in the return leg at the KLFA Stadium in Cheras today. Following the new ruling, which allows unlimited transfers of players between teams and their feeder clubs, Fadhli and Hazwan, who are members of Super League side Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), will play today for JDT II. JDT II coach Ervin Boban disclosed his side will be without Brazil defender Bruno Soares, who has picked up a hamstring injury. I hope it will not rain tomorrow (today).”UKM assistant coach Juzaili Samion has reminded his team to focus on their goal of winning the title and to forget about the presence of Fadhli and Hazwan in the JDT II team.
